Should You Do A First Look?

More time for more photos

When you include a first look in your timeline, you open up so much more time in the day. Often I like to include all of the formal portraits, wedding party and family photos ahead of the ceremony. Not only are you already glammed up and lookin’ fire, you won’t have to worry about any touch ups! When you allow for earlier photos, we have that extra time to get more creative and have fun with additional photos.

All about the lighting

This one is important if you plan on having a late fall and winter wedding. The sunset is much earlier and is often overlooked when creating your timeline. Having a first look provides more sunshine time in a day, and even flexibility with weather (because sometimes we get gaps!).

Spend all day with bae

Your wedding day is a huge milestone and why would you not want to spend every moment with your spouse the day of? Enjoy more time together with friends and soak up extra moments while you watch your day come together. Having earlier photos also gives you time to hang out during cocktail hour and your reception without being pulled away.

And at lastly…

A first look and help calm your nerves and have a private moment together. There is a lot of hustle and bustle of a wedding, but spending it with your bae is number one! Whether you decide to do a first look or down the aisle, do what feels right for you and I am here for any choice you choose!
